ENSŌ IS A HANDCRAFTED POT STILL BLEND WHISKY, WHICH IMPRESSES WITH HINTS OF CARAMEL AND VANILLA WHILST ALSO GIVING WAY TO FRUITY AND FLORAL AROMAS. DUE TO ITS INCOMPARABLE AND DISTINCT TASTE, ENSŌ BLENDED WHISKY IS FANTASTIC FOR VAIOUS COCKTAIL FAVOURITES.

THE SOURCE OF THE WHISKY

OUR WHISKY IS FROM KIYOKAWA - WHICH MEANS PURE RIVER - IN THE PERFECTURE OF NAGANO, NESTLED IN A BREATHTAKING VALLEY AND THE SORROUNDINGS OF THE SEKIDA MOUNTAIN RANGE. ENSŌ STANDS FOR THE FUSION OF THE TRADITIONAL AND THE MODERN WAY OF CREATING HIGH QUALITY JAPANESE WHISKY.

THE ORIGIN OF THE NAME

ENSŌ (円 相) IS THE JAPANESE WORD FOR "CIRCLE" AND IS CONSIDERED ON OF THE "SUPREME" SYMBOLS OF ZEN. AN ENSŌ IS PAINTED IN ONE SINGLE BRUSH STROKE WHICH CANNOT BE MODIFIED LATER. THUS, AN ENSŌ IS SUPPOSED TO UNDERLINE THAT EVERY CAPTURED MOMENT IS UNIQUE AND COMPLETE IN ITS OWN WAY - AN ENSŌ IS THEREFORE ALSO UNDERSTOOD AS A REJECTION OF PERFECTIONISM. THIS PHILOSOPHY WAS THE INSPIRATION FOR THE BRAND ENSŌ JAPANESE WHISKY THAT WANTS TO REBEL AGAINST EXISTING IDEALS WITHIN THE WHISKY INDUSTRY.
